Lomé accueille depuis jeudi des Journées de travail sur les transports et transits routiers et maritimes entre le Togo et le Burkina Faso. L’activité, qui se déroule à la faveur de la visite du ministre burkinabé des transports, Mahamoudou Zampaligre, réunit non seulement des officiels, mais également des opérateurs économiques, transporteurs et autres acteurs du secteur.
De façon concrète, il s’agit pour les participants de trouver des solutions permettant de faciliter davantage le transit des marchandises sur le corridor Lomé-Cinkassé-Ouagadougou. Sont notamment pointés du doigt, des problèmes “de gestion de fret, de représentation des organisations professionnelles, ou encore de tarifs” qui handicapent les activités.
“Nous devons parvenir à régler ces petites difficultés”, a indiqué l’officiel burkinabé, qui participe aux travaux aux côtés de ses homologues des transports et du commerce du Togo. « Lorsqu’un véhicule quitte le Port de Lomé avec des marchandises, il faut qu’il arrive en un temps record au Burkina Faso, sans rencontrer de difficultés et ne pas dégrader également nos infrastructures”, a embrayé Affo Atcha-Dédji.
Du reste, un accent sera également mis sur la sécurité sur le corridor, dans le contexte actuel marqué par le fléau terroriste en provenance du Sahel.
Pour rappel, le Togo, de par son positionnement géographique et son port en eau profonde, est un excellent point de transit pour les pays de l’hinterland.
